Manage Taxes

Every country have different taxation rules and Twirll platform facilitates the option to add various type of taxes. Tax can vary with the factors such as country, product, state, etc. For example, Australia taxation has Goods & Services Tax (GST) while India has Value Added Tax (VAT). In Twirll, to configure a general taxation rule for all products and services, follow the steps below:

Create Taxes

To maintain taxes on your business you have to maintain tax groups first. Tax group are the collection of different types of taxes to be applied on products. To maintain taxes, follow these simple steps

Admin ⇒ Manage Taxes ⇒ Add Tax Group

Once “Add Tax Group” is clicked a pop-up is opened to fill up some details about the taxes to be maintained(Fig. 2)

1. Start Date : It is the date from which maintained taxes will be effective on the applied products
2. End Date : End date is the last date to which the taxes will be applicable on products
3. Location : Select a location to define the scope of a tax group.
4. Tax Group : Provide a name to your tax group to be created.
5. Taxes are Included in price : selecting this will make your taxes inclusive and unselecting will make it exclusive
6. Taxes list : Maintain Taxes as you want to, add tax name with tax value in the table
7. Add Tax Type : To add more taxes in the tax group, click here to add a new row in tax
8. Save : By clicking here your taxes will be saved in the list

Edit Taxes

Taxes can be edited if you want to change something in the existing taxes, to edit taxes click on Edit icon in the tax list(Fig3).

When Edit button is clicked, details will be opened in pop up so that changes could be made(Fig. 5)

Once changes are done in taxes click on save to update tax details.

Delete Taxes

Delete Taxes are used to eliminate taxes which are maintained in list of taxes. To delete Taxes click on red button in the order list (Fig. 6)

Clicking here will open a prompt to delete current tax, confirming it will delete your tax.

Note : Once taxes are created, they can be assigned to different products from Manage Taxable Product Section
