The “Hold Order” feature allows you to temporarily pause work on an order so you can start or manage other orders on the same POS device.
This is especially useful for Dine-in, Takeaway, or Pickup orders, where items may be added now, but payment or further processing happens later.
Steps to Put an Order on Hold

- Automatic Hold When Starting a New Order
- Twirll POS automatically puts the current order on hold when you start a new order.(Check how to start a new order)

- Manually Put an Order on Hold

- Click or tap on the Hold button (as shown in the image below).
- You can also add a comment to describe the reason for holding the order, if needed.

- Retrieve an Order from Hold
- To continue working on a held order, go to the Orders on Hold section and select the order you want to process.(Check how to retrieve an Order from Hold)
