Manage holidays surcharge through portal

Holiday Surcharge Configuration

This document explains how to schedule and apply surcharges for holidays and specific days using the Twirll Portal. It covers creating timing groups for special holidays or recurring weekends,
enabling surcharges for order types, and verifying activation on the POS system

1. Access the Twirll Portal, Log in to the Twirll Portal.
Navigate to Operations > Advanced Operation Setup > Timing Group.

2. Click Add Timing Group. Name the timing group (e.g., ‘Holiday Surcharges’). Scroll down and click Add Special Days. Select specific holidays from the calendar. Set the surcharge to apply on the selected dates.

3. Repeat the process to add more holidays as needed. Ensure each holiday is configured for 24 hours. Once all holidays are added, click the Save button.

4. Once Timing Group created, Click on Back and go to Manage Order Type.

5. Select Order Types. Choose the relevant type (e.g., ‘POS’ or ‘Online Ordering’).

6. Enable the surcharge for the selected order type (e.g., ‘Takeaway’). And click on Apply Extra Charges.

7. Enable Apply surcharge, Set the surcharge percentnge, Give the proper reason for surcharge, Select the relevant timing group under time restrictions.And Save it

8. Once Surcharge applied go to the POS, Perform a Hard Refresh. Add items to the takeaway order and check if the surcharge is applied.
