A Kitchen Display System (KDS) is a digital solution used in restaurants and food service establishments to manage and streamline kitchen operations. Instead of using traditional paper tickets, orders are sent electronically to a screen or multiple screens in the kitchen where kitchen staff can view and manage them in real-time.
KDS Screen
Twirll KDS is, in effect, a digitize order board for your chef and kitchen staff. It acts as a bridge between the restaurant front staff and the kitchen staff, and also helps with the following functionality:
- Receive orders from Twirll POS system with complete order information.
- Organizes order, so item that should go out in time and prepared in the right order.
- Alerts kitchen staff or dispatch manager when orders are ready to serve.
- After Ready to Serve, It will display Order on Token Display (Customer view screen)
- KDS can be customized, so it follows your kitchen’s workflow (customize it from KDS Settings).
- Theme based customization is also available in Twirll KDS.
- Customer Screen(Token Display) enables customers and restaurant front staff to see the status of orders.
