This documentation outlines the steps to configure Minimum Order Amount Validation based on order types such as Delivery and Takeaway.It provides a detailed walkthrough of the settings
required to enforce minimum order values for different order types in an online store.
Introduction to Minimum Order Amount Validation
- Minimum order amount validation ensures user meet a specified order value before completing a purchase.
- This is useful when different order types (such as Delivery,Takeaway) require different minimum amounts.
- Example : Minimum order amount for Takeaway order is 100 $ and for Delivery order is 200 $.
Configuring Minimum Order Amount for Delivery
- Navigate to the portal and select Sales.
- Go to Online Store Website.
- Click on Customize.
Testing Delivery Order Validation
- Access Online Order Settings.
- Enable Minimum Order Amount Validation.
- Select Delivery from the dropdown menu.
- Set the minimum order amount (e.g., 100 AUD).
- Click Save Settings.
- Refresh the website and add items to the cart.
- Attempt checkout with a total below the minimum amount (e.g., 93 AUD).
- An alert will appear requiring a minimum purchase of 100 AUD for delivery orders.
Configuring Minimum Order Amount for Takeaway
- Return to the Web Manager.
- Select Takeaway from the order type options.
- Enable Minimum Order Amount Validation.
- Set the minimum order amount (e.g., 100 AUD).
- Click Save Settings.
Testing Takeaway Order Validation
- Add items to the cart and attempt checkout below the minimum amount.
- An alert will indicate that a minimum purchase of 100 AUD is required for takeaway orders.
- Now on Increase the cart total to exceed the minimum amount user will able to successfully place the order.
